Steev Kindwald en concert à la chapelle St Jean de Mulhouse, France.

This video demonstrates several Jawharp techniques in this interpretation of Bulerias;
1.) Inspirational breath on the slightly upraised reed, giving the qualty of a free reed (rather than a plucked or stroked reed) as the excess air is breathed out through the nasal cavity inversing the circular breathing process.
2.) Double and triple strokes on the reed while it is dampened by the tongue, lips, fingers, removed from the teeth altogether and resonating solely on the lips---or in combination.
3.) Accenting of alternate beats (Typical of the Bulerias and Gitano/Rom musiques) by quick exhale or inhale bursts, giving a polyrhythmic effect.
4.)Triplet and quadruplet tongue accents (often confused with rolling the tongue which mimics this technique, but does not enunciate the beats as clearly or concisely) giving a strong effect of speed while maintaining the beat cycle--- and occasionally utilizing the circular breathing technique for a continuous rolling sound."
